Steve Mitchell is making a difference from Colorado!

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Steve Mitchell is currently pursuing his graduate work in aerospace engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Steve is a member of the CU triathlon team — living and training in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. He shares his time between classes, research, and volunteering with local educational outreach organizations.

Steve’s path to My First Bike (MFB) first started when he was watching Universal Sports’s television coverage of the 2009 Louisville Ironman.

Steve is focusing on Justin Night’s fund raising campaign by training and recruiting sponsors for this June’s Half-Ironman Triathlon in Lawrence, Kansas. The Half Ironman is comprised of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 run.

In addition to his campaign, Steve was recognized by his department at CU with a service award which he has graciously donated to MFB.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys piloting small aircraft, tailgating, and shredding on the air guitar.

We are delighted that Steve is part of the MFB team.
